LEVEL D:(22 days)   For years, the trek to Concordia and K-2 Base Camp has been a highlight, allowing the trekkers to enjoy the magnificent Karakorum. The route follows the Baltoro glacier, the world’s second-longest outside the polar regions, to Concordia (4400m). Within a few miles radius, tower 10 of the world’s 30 highest peaks. Such famous peaks surround you as the Gasherbrum’s (8068m and 8035m), Broad peak (8047m), Golden Throne (7312m), Chogolisa (7654m), Mitre peak (6006m), Crystal peak (6238m), and of course, K-2 (8611m). Until now, the primary return route has retraced its steps. Recently, a new return route over the (5800m), Gondogoro-la pass has been opened, and the advantage of a bird's eye view of the peak surrounding Concordia. Now a circle route to the K-2 base camp is a viable alternative.
