MALUBUTING AND HARRAMOSH VISTAS TREK
LEVEL C:(23 days) These circular alpine treks take you along the foot of the Rakaposhi and harramosh ranges and offer stunning visits to Malubuting (7452m) and Harramosh (7406m). Starting in Gilgit, drive through a picturesque valley to a remote mountain village. The next day begins trekking to a 3289m high meadow, which locals use as a summer pasture. This pasture is at the foot of a steep pass (4548m), which one will cross to come to an alpine lake, situated at an altitude of 3078m. From the banks of the lake are beautiful views of Phuparash (6574m) and Malubuting (7452m)
The following day's trek is through a narrow gorge and valley to yet another crystal blue alpine lake (3260m). This fairy-tale lake is surrounded by a green meadow that holds the neighboring pine and birch forest at bay. Many (6634m) towers in the background on an excursion towards Mani base camp; you can see the narrow cleft of Harramosh pass, which leads to the Chogo Lungma glacier. On the trek to the village that marks the beginning of a jeep road, stop for two nights at the entrance of a side valley for a day's excursion towards Malubuting base camp, drive to Skardu and spend a few days exploring the area before flying back to Islamabad, connect one's international flight.
